Lionel realized he was tied to a chair the moment he regained consciousness. He chuckled, shaking his head at their old-school tactics. He silently thanked Katherine for teaching him how to escape from situations like this. Blinking twice to adjust to the dimly lit room, he scanned his surroundings and saw it was the same room his sister had been pictured in. Sure enough, he spotted a girl tied to a chair with a rag shoved in her mouth. But she wasn’t crying or panicking—just curiously staring at him like she was seeing him for the first time.
Lionel opened his mouth to call out but paused. He looked again. The resemblance was uncanny, but that wasn’t Lana. Anyone else might have been fooled, but Lionel would recognize his baby sister anywhere. One look into the girl's eyes confirmed it—this wasn’t her. She had Lana's necklace on her. The one Katherine had gifted Lana. But he wouldn't be at ease until he knew Lana was safe.
